Cleaning House for a New Year!

The start of the new year brings in a lot to your home... so it's time to be out with the old, in with the new! Start cleaning up for a fresh 2012.

The kids are back in school and things are starting to get back to normal. It is hard to believe that it was the holidays just a few weeks ago!

As you have your resolutions going and you start to put those holiday decorations away, think of what you can live with out. Some decorations are sentimental of course, but some are just old. Maybe get rid of one here and there and you'll find you have more room in your cabinet or more space in your bins.

Carry this enthusiasm throughout the house. The kids are loving their new toys and new games.  Maybe ask them to help you by giving up one old toy for every new toy they got, so you can donate it to other kids in need. Knowing that what they are doing isn't a sacrifice, but a gift to someone else, helps them learn to care for others.

Same goes for your kitchen. Everyone has dishes, mechanisms or gadgets in there that they have never used (or don't know what it's for!), so try and get rid of some of these.

Take it one drawer at a time and one room at a time. Cleaning up the clutter will make you feel better! Need any help?  Let us know!
