Eastern Medicine for pets now available in the Palisades

Pacific Palisades Veterinary Center (PaliVet) is pleased to announce the addition of a new Associate Veterinarian: Dr. Stephanie Checel, DVM. A native of Southern California, Dr. Checel was born in Santa Monica and raised in Culver City. Dr. Checel received her veterinary degree from The University of Dublin in 2005 and has been in practice for 9 years. She has a strong interest in internal medicine. Dr. Checel is also interested in the burgeoning field of Alternative Medicine for animals. She is certified in traditional Chinese medicine, which includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and laser therapy.  She is currently pursuing certifications in Physical Therapy and Yoga for pets. Dr. Kathy Litochleb, owner of Pali Vet, said “We’re excited to have Dr. Checel join us. She brings alternative therapies that will offer our patients  innovative new treatments that have been unavailable in the Palisades until now.”
