Will Cyber Monday Bring Record-Breaking Sales?

According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, Cyber Monday sales could be big this year.

When you opened your email this morning, you were probably bombarded with just about every online retailer offering up special Cyber Monday deals. And that's not unusual. It's become a tradition to spend the Monday following Turkey Day browsing through online deals and crossing more names off your holiday shopping list. But according to the Los Angeles Times, Cyber Monday shopping could break records this year.

The LA Times reported that Cyber Monday was considered the biggest online shopping day of the year in 2010 and that sales were at about $1 billion. The LA Times spoke to a market research firm that said sales might reach $1.2 billion this year.
