An Italian trattoria and future sushi restaurant in Pacific Palisades have applied for alcohol licenses with the city.

According to the Land Use Committee of the Pacific Palisades Community Council, the recently-opened Il Piccolo Ritrovo at 15415 Sunset Boulevard in the village proposes updating its existing conditional use permit for a full liquor license.

Also, the proprieters for the future opening of Moku Sushi on Palisades Drive have applied for a beer and wine license.

Community Councill Vice President Chris Spitz said at Thursday's meeting there have not been too many issues brought forth about either proposal since it came before the Land Use Committee in April. She added that Il Piccolo Ritrovo's owners are still seeking community feedback before filing their application with the city

The owners added they are looking to increase revenue in Pali, and have already began prepping to open a second location in Brentwood.

Il Piccolo Ritrovo plans to only serve drinks at tables, not open a full bar. Also, they are requesting additional parking and a contract for a valet service. The restaurant will operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and till 11 p.m. on weekends, and it is on a five-year lease with a five-year option.

Spitz added the owners did move the heat lamps on the front patio, and one of its neighbors appears not to be concnered about the CUP update. Currently, there are eight parking spaces in the rear of the restaurant and the Shell station on Sunset Boulevard is letting Il Piccolo Ritrovo rent eight spaces from them.

The community council opted to have the owners come to their next meeting to outline their list of conditions for the CUP.
