M Cafe de Chaya, a meat and dairy-free macrobiotic eatery with locations in Hollywood and Beverly Hills, plans to open its third location in Brentwood.

The New School of Cooking at 8690 Washington Blvd. in the Culver City Arts District will soon be offering two full-time professional programs: Advanced Professional Culinary Arts and Advanced Professional Culinary Pastry Arts.

Boutique neighborhood restaurant Elaine's Bakery & Cafe is planning to open in a third floor space of Brentwood Gardens by mid-September.

Calypso, a New York-based boutique, has plans to open in Malibu this fall. The resort-style boutique is taking over the space of Malibu Lifestyles Woman at the Malibu Country Mart. Malibu Lifestyles Man will remain open.

As luxury apartments are leased at Brentwood's The BW apartments at Wilshire Boulevard and Barrington Avenue in Brentwood, German chef Hans Rockenwagner plans to open his restaurant and bakery 3 Square Cafe by Sept. 15.

The restaurant Superba Food & Bread has planned to open up in the space of a former auto body shop on Lincoln Boulevard in Venice, reports EaterLA.

Blue Daisy Cafe plans to take over the space of Planet Raw on Broadway in Santa Monica, reports EaterLA.

Kula Sushi is opening a space in Little Osaka in West L.A. with raw fish offerings of the revolving kaiten concept, reports EaterLA.

Shutters

After 23 years, the proprietor at Boulmiche in Brentwood decided to retire in late June, according to the property manager of Brentwood Gardens located at 11677 San Vicente Boulevard. Based in Beverly Hills, Boulmiche is a women's clothing store specializing in contemporary trends.
