L.A. Gas Prices Continue to Rise

The average gas price rose one-tenth of cent Monday following a three-tenths of a cent rise Sunday.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent Monday to $3.644, one day after increasing three-tenths of a cent.

The average price is one-tenth of a cent less than one week ago, but 5.7 cents more than one month ago and 5.6 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price also rose one-tenth of a cent today to $3.62, one day after increasing three-tenths of a cent. It is two-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 5.6 cents more than one month ago and 6.3 cents higher than one year ago.
