Los Angeles Department of Water and Power officials and a parking enforcement officer are locating a water main break in the 16800 block of Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisadea Wednesday afternoon.
Traffic on eastbound Sunset is reduced to one lane and vehicles are urged to slow down and proceed with caution as crews work to resolve the issue.
Water began flowing on Sunset Blvd shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A DPW official told Patch that, since they had to shut down water flow to locate the exact location of the main break in the underground piping, several homes within the water main break's radius may have low flow or no water for an indefinite period of time.
Patch will provide updates as more information becomes available.
