Brush Fire Extinguished on Palisades Drive

Fire is knocked down in eight minutes with county fire department's aid.

A brush fire broke out Tuesday morning above Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades and was quickly knocked down by city and county fire crews, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 1:27 a.m. near the 500 block of North Palisades Drive, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher said city firefighters called for assistance at 1:52 a.m. and that the fire was knocked down about eight minutes later.

No structures were damaged, Humphrey said.

County fire sent four inmate crews to assist in fighting the fire, the dispatcher said.
