Memorial Celebration Planned For Theatricum Botanicum Director

The life of Heidi Helen Davis will be celebrated at the Topanga theatre on April 29.

A memorial celebration for actress, director and teacher Heidi Helen Davis in Topanga on April 29 at 12 p.m.

at the age of 60, following her battle with breast cancer.

Davis was part of the family at the Theatricum Botanicum. She directed more than 20 plays at the outdoor theatre including , Our Town and The Cherry Orchard.

The theatre says in her final days, Davis asked that attendees bring a dish that is meaningful to them. According to Davis, "Breaking bread is one of the most intimate things people can do together."

If you would like to attend, the theatre is asking that you bring a dish that does not require heating or refrigeration. Guests should RSVP to memorialheidi@gmail.com so organizers may coordinate the meal.

Also according to the theatre:

In lieu of flowers, Heidi requested that donations be sent to Theatricum Botanicum. It was her wish that the funds be dedicated to mentoring the next generation of theater artists.
