Jeffrey Tambor, English Beat Close Stunning Pali July 4th [VIDEO]

A fireworks extravaganza at Palisades Charter High School caps a day of celebration.

Wednesday night's concert and fireworks at Stadium by the Sea capped off a breathtaking Independence Day in Pacific Palisades. Hundreds gathered on the football field, many with their families.

Actor and Jeffrey Tambor emceed the event and provided some comic relief. He announced he will soon be moving to New York to "get away from the frozen yogurt."

"It was the only place I had to audition to use the salad bar," he joked. Tambor said he will miss , and recalled the number of parking tickets he's received in Los Angeles, including one oustide .

Before signing off to Pali, Tambor recited the famous line from his role as George Bluth Sr. from the television comedy Arrested Development.

"There's always money in the banana stand," he said.

Included in Wednesday night's lineup was the the high school's concert band, Donovan Lyman & Randy Coleman and Palisades' own Dave Wakeling and The English Beat. The evening was hosted by the Palisades Americanism Parade Association.
