Guitarist Chris Shiflett to Headline Palisades Rocks the Fourth Concert

Shiflett, from Pacific Palisades, is best known to rocking stadiums around the world as lead guitarist of Foo Fighters.

Foo Fighters lead guitarist and Palisades resident Chris Shiflett will be rocking the community for this year's Palisades Rocks the Fourth Concert and Fireworks, the Palisades Americanism Parade Association (PAPA) announced Thursday.

Shiflett is considered one of the top guitarists in rock today.

While Shiflett is best known for rocking stadiums around the world, on July Fourth he will be showing an unexpected side of his amazing musicianship when he performs with his side project Chris Shiflett & The Dead Peasants, who will treat the Palisades to an infectious blend of country music and American-laced rock. To get a taste of what Shiflett and his band have in store for the Palisades this July Fourth, click on this YouTube video.

Palisades Rocks the Fourth is an all ages, family-friendly Fourth of July festival of music, food and fireworks. The concert is truly unique in that it exclusively features artists who call Pacific Palisades home, from remarkably accomplished amateurs to millions-selling international recording artists, representing a wide variety of musical genres including rock, country and patriotic standards.

The event concludes with a 25-minute fireworks display produced by world renown Pyro Spectaculars by Souza, the same company that produces the annual Macy’s Fourth of July Spectacular in New York City.

Tickets for Palisades Rocks the Fourth are on sale now at palisadesparade.org. General admission tickets are only $5, and kids 12 and under are free.  A very limited supply of reserved parking passes also are available.
