Karen Han Solo Concert - Bowers Museum

Palisadian Karen Han, an internationally renowned Erhu artist, will be performing a solo concert at the Bowers Museum on Feb. 4 at 5 p.m.

Han is an internationally renowned, brilliant Erhu artist. The Erhu, an ancient two-stringed instrument, creates an expressive, soulful sound reminiscent of a womans voice. Through her playing, Han transforms music into love, peace, and beauty in life.

Han has performed with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, The Los Angeles Philharmonic and other prestigious orchestras worldwide. Her playing may be heard on the soundtracks of The Joy Luck Club, Passion of the Christ, Mulan II, Anna and the King, The Last Emperor, KungFu Panda I & II, 2012, Up in the Air, The Hurt Locker, Star Trek and Memoirs of a Geisha... etc.
