This drop-in program is a multisensory exploration of what it means to paint a likeness in ancient times. Discover the step-by-step process of creating mummy portraits in the Museum's collection by touching demonstration objects that reveal otherwise hidden techniques. Then handle the surprising tools and materials that artists used, which ranged from gold leaf and honey to rabbit-skin glue.
