Alper's Young Musicians Big Band - to Perform Free Concert at Steve and Lenny's Sports Bar1035 Swarthmore, Pacific Palisades 90272  March 11th 3:00-5:00PM

Alper's Young Musicians Big Band - an exciting and very talented group of 12 year olds will perform at Steve and Lenny's Sports Bar on Sunday March 11th from 3-5 PM.The group is backed by a pro rhythm section who will also perform a set of jazz standards.This rockin' 12 piece ensemble will perform favorites by Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Henry Mancini, Herbie Hancock, Cannonball Adderly, Santana and even Elvis!

Instrumentation is 2 Trumpets, 5 Saxophones, 2 Trombones and 3 Clarinets.

Directed by Gregory Alper (Alper Music School Pacific Palisades), who has enjoyed a 4 decade career performing, recording, composing for film and teaching young musicians. He composed music for the original Warcraft game. Alper Music Schoolrelocated to the Palisades from Santa Monica in 2001.
