Alper's Young Musicians Big Band - to Perform Free Concert at Lenny's Deli

1035 Swarthmore, Pacific Palisades 90272  March 11th 3:00-5:00PM 


Alper's Young Musicians Big Band - an exciting and very talented group of 12 year olds will perform at Lenny's Deli on Sunday April 22nd from 3-5 PM.The group is backed by a pro rhythm section who will also perform a set of jazz standards.

This rockin' 12 piece ensemble will perform favorites by Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Glenn
Miller, Henry Mancini, Herbie Hancock, Cannonball Adderly, Santana and even Elvis! Instrumentation is 2 Trumpets, 5 Saxophones, 2 Trombones and 3 Clarinets.

Alper's Young Musicians really swing and will wow you with their improvisation!
Directed by Gregory Alper (Alper Music School Pacific Palisades), who has enjoyed a 4 decade career performing, recording, composing for film and teaching young musicians.

He composed music for the original Warcraft game. Alper Music Schoolrelocated to the Palisades from Santa Monica in 2001.Alper says, "It’s inspiring to hear these young musicians swing. They arefearless in their solos. In addition to the full ensemble arrangements, each
member of the band has an opportunity to improvise."
