30 Years On, Moshe Safdie Completes Skirball Center

The architect has completed the fourth and final stage of the project and it will be open to the public in October.

It’s taken 30 years, but renowned architect Moshe Safdie has finally completed his grand vision for the Skirball Cultural Center.

The fourth and final phase of the Jewish cultural institution are finally complete and will be open to the public in October, reports Designboom.

The completion of the project brings two new buildings to the complex: Herscher Hall and Guerin Pavilion, creating an additional 40,000 square feet of classrooms, conference spaces, gardens, and a grand hall with a 1200 guest.

The new building’s entrance plaza boasts coral trees, enamel art panels, and a massive fountain.
