Viewfinder: Dog Iron Polo Cup

The second annual Dog Iron Polo Cup and Champagne Brunch benefited the Will Rogers Ranch Foundation Sunday.

The Will Rogers Ranch Foundation held its second annual Dog Iron Polo Cup and Champagne Brunch Sunday at . The event featured polo matches, the traditional divot stomp and a trick rider and roper.

"It's all the things Will Rogers would have loved, which is why we do this event, it's in his memory," said Jennifer Rogers-Etcheverry, great-granddaughter of Will Rogers and co-founder of the foundation.

All of the proceeds from the event go to the 186-acre park, and will help ensure that the scenic trails, the tours of Roger's historic home and the equestrian atmosphere will continue to serve the public as it has for the past 67 years, she said.

"Given the current budget crisis facing California and its impact on our state parks, our fundraising efforts are more important than ever," Rogers-Etcheverry said.
