T-Mobile Gives Pacific Palisades Widow Runaround in Canceling Dead Husband's Phone Plan

The widow was told that she didn't call the company fast enough to cancel the plan.

Losing a loved one and get his or her finances in order is hard enough. Imagine a Pacific Palisades widow’s surprise when a mobile phone company told her that she didn’t contact them fast enough to shut down her husband’s phone.

That’s what happened to Judy Silk, according to NBC4. Silk’s husband, Daniel Cogan, passed away in November and when she tried to cancel Cogan’s T-Mobile account, she got the runaround.

According to NBC4, a customer service manager told Silk the account would have been easier to close had she contacted T-Mobile earlier. When NBC4 got involved, the account was canceled within the day.
