Pacific Palisades Weekend Wrap-Up: Aug. 27-28

Did your Saturday and Sunday stack up to what fellow Palisadians were up to this weekend?

Maybe you stayed home this weekend with a good book and a movie, or perhaps it sent you overseas. Whatever you chose to do with your Saturday and Sunday, Pali Patch has no doubt it was memorable. After all, with the beach on one side and the mountains on the other, Palisadians know how to make the most of a day off.

In this week's edition:

Movie Night at Palisades Park

The music and comedy of Mary Poppins was lighting up the night in  on Saturday. The Aug. 27 movie event was sponsored by the Marquez Knolls Property Owners Association. The photos, courtesy of Jim Rea, feature fun, friends and family as well as a very special "Happy Birthday" wish.

Unwanted Treehouse Guest

Mary Ireland captured a treehouse standoff in the Palisades. It seemed a squirrel was rather upset when it found a wide-eyed cat in its tree. Perhaps next time this feline will wait for a formal invitation!

A Bicycle Built … for the Beach?

The bicycle photo was taken awhile back, but since we're still in beach season, it seemed quite appropriate. Palisadian Wendy Price Anderson snapped this shot of a cyclist taking his bike for a dip! It must have been hot out that day!

Send us your weekend photos even if they're as simple as a sunny view from your beach chair. We'll post them next week. It's never too early to start dreaming about next weekend, right?

Not sure. There's not always an immediate answer to helicopters circling. Did anyone else hear orRead More see this? How long did it last? Was it just 1 copter or many police units?
