Nyuck It Up With Jokes and Fruit at Chabad's Comedy Night

Palisades branch of Chabad Jewish Community Centers franchise brings in the clowns for Tu B'Shevat celebration on Thursday night.

Want to sweeten your New Year with a taste of comedy accompanied by a taste of nature's candy? Chabad of Pacific Palisades presents Comedy Night and Fruit Fest on Thursday evening.

The Jewish people have produced a long lineage of silver screen and boob tube comedians: Everyone from the Marx Bros. and the Three Stooges, from Jerry Lewis to Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, from Adam Sandler and Sarah Silverman to Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill...you get the idea.

No one is more aware of that tradition than the fun-loving bearded boys at Chabad, including Rabbis Shloime Zacks and Eli Baitelman, who are hitching their comedy night to Tu B'Shevat , a Jewish holiday known as "the New Year for Trees." Chabad promises a fun evening with "a laugh in your face and a fruit kabab in your hand."
