Then, on Saturday, Dec. 22 a memorial concert will be held at Jane's House on 1733 N. Hudson in Hollywood. The bands String Fellow Hawks and Downtown Train are set to perform.

According to Sergeant Larry Delgado of LAPD's Central Traffic Division, motorist Richard A. Edurson was found to be under the influence of an intoxicant at the time of the crash that killed Borboa.

Central Traffic's incident report states that Edurson was traveling on North Figueroa Street north of Woodside Drive in his vehicle when he lost control and crashed into a Borboa, who was pinned between Edurson's Jeep and a parked Toyota.

Edurson's vehicle then continued along Figueroa before crashing against a tree.

Borboa, 30, lived in Hollywood, and described himself on his Facebook page as "driven by my wild heart, but grounded by my old soul."

Pictures of Borboa posted online show that he had an affinity for skateboarding and motorcycles. On his Instagram account, Borboa posted pictures of fliers for gigs where he was scheduled to DJ.

"Erick Borboa was someone you wanted to meet, and if you didn't you were going to meet him anyway. He was the kind of guy that if he had been introduced to you from his friends two minutes ago, he'd already have a drink ready to share with you," said friend Davey Cooperwasser. "[He was] a true larger than life personality that attracted many people around him. Erick was that guy in the middle of the room people were listening to, laughing, and singing with--literally. A man who loved The Beatles, motorcycles, and skateboarding to name a few of his talents and interests."

On the motorcycle blog At The Risers, Jason Weber memorialized Borboa with a post showing images of him skating and riding an ATV.

"Sharp dresser, party animal and all around nice guy...Borboa, you'll be missed by many," Webert wrote in the blog post.

"Rest in Peace Erick Borboa, you had the biggest personality and best dance," commented Leila Ramsey on Patch. "You did not deserve this."
