At the Beauty Bus Foundation, our youngest client is 3 years old and our oldest, 101.  An interaction with Beauty Bus Foundation provides our clients and caregivers a break from the hardships of disease, from doctor’s visits and insurance paperwork. Beauty Bus Foundation delivers dignity, hope and respite to chronically or terminally ill men, women and children and their caregivers through beauty and grooming services and pampering products.

We have all been touched by a friend, family or loved one trying to hold onto a semblance of dignity and humanity in the face of illness that is robbing them of their quality of life. The incredible stresses that come with living with a chronic or terminal condition create a ripple effect from patient to caregiver - no one goes untouched.  Most caregivers will say there are simply not enough hours in the day to attend to some of the basic palliative care needs that are critical to a patient’s emotional and physical well-being. Beauty Bus recognizes the importance of attending to these needs. Our services provide an opportunity for interaction that brings tremendous positive effect both to the physical and emotional well being of the client and caregiver.

Beauty Bus Foundation has accomplished our mission by focusing on three core programs:

In-Home Visits: Beauty Bus Foundation provides in-home beauty and grooming services to patients whose illness or condition prevents them from accessing a salon or spa. Volunteers provide the same service to the patient’s caregiver at the time of the visit.

Pop-Up Salon: Beauty Bus Foundation creates Pop-Up Salons where clients and caregivers receive a variety of beauty and grooming services in a setting that promotes support and serenity. Pop-Ups are scheduled with local hospitals and our other social service partners.

Bag of Beauty Program: Beauty Bus Foundation gives a complimentary Bag of Beauty filled with pampering products to remind patients and caregivers that they deserve to look and feel beautiful.

Since our founding we have delivered over 4,000 services to almost 3000 clients and delivered over 15,000 Bags of Beauty.
