Pali Fire Stations Battle Early Morning House Fire

Fire stations 69 and 23 respond to a fire at a home on Haverford Avenue in Pacific Palisades.

According to Los Angeles Fire Department 23, a house fire broke out in the 700 block of North Haverford Avenue just before 1 a.m. Thursday.

Pacific Palisades stations 23 and 69 responded, along with three other fire companies, said firefighters.

Firefighters said the home was empty, but when crews arrived on the scene the attic was on fire.

Firefighters were able to put out the blaze in about 30 minutes. According to Fire Station 23, the fire was likely caused by a floor furnace left on by a remodeling contractor.

Firefighters said the home sustained extensive damage.
