Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Angry Driver Accelerates Toward Pedestrians
In this week's crime round-up, a female driver becomes angry at pedestrians crossing the street slowly and accelerates in their direction, says the LAPD.
The following crimes were reported between Feb. 12-Feb. 19. The information was provided by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Burglary/Theft From Motor Vehicle
300 Entrada Dr.
- When: Between Feb. 14 at 8:30 p.m. and Feb. 15 at 9:45 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect smashed a window on the victim's vehicle and took a bag.
100 Ocean Way
- When: Feb. 17 at 3 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect smashed a window on the victim's vehicle and took an iPhone.
400 East Channel Rd.
- When: Between Feb. 14 at 11 p.m. and Feb. 15 at 5 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect smashed a window on the victim's vehicle and took an iPhone, laptop computer and clothing.
Assault With a Deadly Weapon
Swarthmore Avenue at Sunset Boulevard
- When: Feb. 10 at 9:40 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect became angry with the victim who was crossing the street too slow with an 8-year-old boy. The suspect accelerated toward the victim and child, forcing the victim to pull the child onto the sidewalk to avoid being struck by the suspect's vehicle. The suspect was described by police as a 45- to 50-year-old white woman with blonde hair. Police say she was driving a gray Toyota Prius.
Burglary
16900 Avenida de Santa Ynez
- When: Feb. 15 between 5:30 p.m. and 6:10 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered the victim's unlocked home and took a computer.
1000 Lachman Ln.
- When: Between Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 11 at 9 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect entered the victim's garage through a side door and took a bicycle.
Petty Theft
15700 Bowdoin St.
- When: Feb. 15 between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect took an iPhone and money from the victim's backpack.
15700 Bowdoin St.
- When: Feb. 17 at 11 a.m.
- What happened: A 16-year-old female was arrested for petty theft after taking iPods and cellphones from the backpacks of two victims.
DUI
Sunset Boulevard at Palisades Drive
- When: Feb. 19 at 8 a.m.
- What happened: A 48-year-old man was arrest for DUI during a traffic collision investigation.

This is nothing new. As a former Palisadian, I have nearly been run over, while in crosswalks, especially at Sunset Blvd, by 30ish female SUV drivers, talking on cell phones, putting on make-up, screaming at their kids, not paying attention and just plain man-haters who think they get points for running over an old guy. Hang the bitch.
