Body Found in Gas Station Restroom ID'd

Toxicology results are pending from the man found in the Pacific West Unocal Station in Pacific Palisades.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office identified the deceased man removed from the restroom of the Pacific West Unocal Station at 17299 Pacific Coast Highway last Saturday, Jan. 19.

Paul Andrew Wycisk, 52, no address known, was found in the restroom, according to Assistant Chief Ed Winter. The gas station clerk and Palisades Patrol officers forced their way into the restroom water and blood were observed seeping from under the door No violence or crime was suspected and it appeared the man may have fallen and cut his head. 

Winter said the cause of death has been deferred pending toxicology tests. He noted there was a laceration above the man's head and has a "history of alcohol issues" and run-ins with the police. It was also reported the man was a transient.
